Four tools, a guide, one place, free to use

Everyday jobs that usually mean paying for software.

A phonebook that stopped making sense. A document that needs joining, shrinking or correcting. A stack of paper that has to become a file. A drive full of things saved three times. Four jobs with one shape underneath: records that got scattered, saved more than once and never quite matched. PhoneForge does those four, in a browser or on a phone, and Your Guide walks you through them and through everything else your phone makes hard. The everyday jobs are free to use, with no account.

Works in your browser. Nothing to install.

Contacts

For a phonebook that has stopped making sense.

  • Find duplicates and merge them, with every suggestion shown side by side before anything changes.
  • Repair broken numbers that were saved wrong or lost digits along the way.
  • Add missing country codes so your contacts work when you travel or change SIM.
  • Sort out the nameless ones, the entries saved as a number and nothing else.
  • Export clean as .vcf or .csv, ready to import straight back.

Export your contacts, drop the file in, review every change, download the tidy version. You decide what gets accepted.

Files

For the document jobs that always come up at the worst moment.

  • Join several PDFs into one document, in the order you choose.
  • Delete or replace pages without rebuilding the whole file.
  • Edit the words in a PDF while the page design stays exactly as it was.
  • Convert between PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and images, both directions.
  • Compress a file that is too big to email or upload.

Load a file, do the job, download the result. No account, no watermark and no page limit.

Scanner

For turning paper into something you can send.

  • Hold it over the page and it shoots by itself once the frame is steady, or tap the shutter yourself.
  • Edges found and squared, so a photo taken at an angle comes out like a page off a scanner.
  • The shadow removed, the one your own hand casts, so the paper is evenly white.
  • Four looks to choose from, each previewed on your actual page before you commit.
  • The words made searchable, hidden behind the picture, so the file can be found later.

A receipt, a certificate, a signed form. The things that always need to be a PDF by tomorrow morning. Works in the browser with your webcam, and on the phone with its camera.

Cleaner

For a drive that is full of the same things.

  • Find identical files across a folder and everything inside it.
  • Spot near-duplicate photos, the resized and re-sent copies of one picture.
  • See what would be freed before you remove anything.
  • Keeps the best copy and tells you why it chose that one.
  • Nothing is uploaded. Your files are compared inside your own browser.

You get a list of exactly what to delete and what is being kept. PhoneForge never removes a file itself.

Your Guide

Your guide to everyday usage.

  • Using PhoneForge, each of the four tools start to finish.
  • Protecting your WhatsApp from the takeover that happens most, and what to do if it already has.
  • Spotting a scam, choosing passwords, and using public wifi without worrying about the wrong things.
  • Mobile money and short codes, sending safely and finding your operator's current list.
  • Everyday Android: storage that is full, backups that work, and what your apps can see.

Short, step-by-step, and searchable. Written for Android first, because that is what most people reading it have in their hand.

Help & FAQ

When something has not gone the way you expected.

  • The questions that come up most, answered plainly rather than deflected.
  • What happens to your files, where they go and when they are deleted.
  • Why a tool is unavailable, and what that means for your work.
  • Getting hold of us when the answer is not written down yet.

If something here is wrong or missing, saying so is the fastest way to get it fixed. There is a real person at the other end.

Why it is built this way

Priced for where it is needed

Tools like these are expensive in a low-income setting, and the problems they solve are just as real there. So the everyday jobs are free to use, with no account and no trial that runs out: cleaning a phonebook, joining and converting documents, scanning paper, finding duplicates.

What costs us money is charged for. The AI passes, which call a paid model every time, and keeping your files longer than the few hours everyone gets, are the two we know of. Anything that becomes expensive to run will be named here before it moves.

You see the change before it happens

Contacts shows you every suggested merge and waits. Cleaner hands you a list rather than deleting. Nothing is quietly rewritten or removed on your behalf.

The work stays yours

Files are processed to do the job and then deleted. Nothing is sold, shared or used to build a profile of you. How your data is handled.

Four tools, one place

No account to create and nothing to install. The same tools on the web and on your phone, with more added as they are built.

What is doing the work

Reading your paper

Scanner finds the page in the photo, squares it up, removes the shadow your hand casts, and runs text recognition so the words are searchable inside the PDF. You photograph a receipt; you get something you can find again by typing a word from it.

Recognising the same thing twice

Cleaner matches photographs that are not identical files: the resized copy, the re-sent one, the screenshot of the original. Contacts does the same for people, matching entries that are spelled differently, saved twice or missing a country code.

Working out what a number means

A number saved without a country code, or with the wrong one, is read against where you are and where the rest of your phonebook is, and repaired so it still works when you travel or change SIM.

AI, where it earns its cost

The paid tiers add model-assisted passes: tidying recognised text, naming documents from their contents, and choosing the best of a set of near-identical photos. They call a paid model every time they run, which is why they sit above the free tier rather than inside it. What each tier includes.

If your organisation has the same problem, larger

This app is the demonstration

Everything above is free because it is also the proof. Matching records that were never meant to match, merging them without losing what each one held, and leaving the result reviewable is a hard problem shown working, in public, on your own phonebook.

One person, one record

A patient admitted again as a new arrival. A customer who exists three times. An old database being folded into a new one. It is the same problem as a duplicated contact, with more at stake, and we build the software that resolves it.

Everything your people need, in one place

Contacts pulled out of mailboxes, phone exports and the systems you already run, into one repository your staff can search. Work directories deduplicated and filed into a structure that holds up once people start using it.

Built for you, not configured

These are custom builds scoped against your systems and your data, run on your infrastructure or ours. AI goes where your people repeat themselves by hand, rather than wherever it fits.

What that work looks like and how Enterprise is priced.

Keep up with what gets built

New tools, changes to the ones you use, and the occasional note on how any of it works. Not often, and nothing you did not ask for.
